Classic Studio Army

This is one of the many studio armies from Ral Partha Enterprises... most likely from the early/mid 1980s.

As best I know, it would have been used (alongside others) for convention games such as Rules According to Ral and, later, Chaos Wars.

It eventually went into Chuck Crain's (one of RP's co-founders) collection.

Chuck gifted it to Mike Noe (RP Factory Manager, and later the President of IWM).

Mike passed it on to me a couple of years back. It now lives in what we unofficially call the "Archive Room".

Note 1: The Handgunners and some of the Crossbowmen are from Citadel Miniatures U.S. (Later Ral Partha Imports).

Note 2: Some of the Crossbowmen in green and Archers in brown were produced by a competitor, probably Minifigs, Custom Cast, or Heritage.
